Here I sit, another night not knowing if you are alive or dead. I pray that you are alive and not dead. I pray that you have not been mugged but arrested. I know if you are reading this and not knowing what it's like to be a parent of an addict, you have no idea what I am talking about.
Safe in detox or rehab or sober living means safe. Out on the streets because my son used while in rehab and got kicked out means he is now on the streets....out on the streets means a possible mugging, beating or worse...an overdose. Death.
I pray.
