Know me? No, ME.

Everyone is entitled their opinion.  I just love being told that I should walk away and not look back.  Walk away from my son. “I am sure it’s better for you”.  YOU obviously don’t know ME. Would you walk away from a family member with cancer? Would you walk away from a friend with a brain injury? I am guessing not.  Because basically heroin/meth addiction is a brain injury – together they mess up all of the tiny little electrical signals in the brain causing it to not function properly.  Causing the brain to tell the body it craves these life destroying drugs. Telling the body it cannot live without them….no matter what. Even it means living on the streets.

Drugs not only destroy the addict, but in a lot of cases the addict’s family.  I thank God every day that my family and friends are strong. WE believe in God. WE have faith.  WE pray. WE love. IT will NOT destroy us!
